I was wondering about which external monitors work with a powerbook. I have the 2nd to newest one (1.5 ghz, same as the current 1.67 or whatever). I remember hearing that it had to be "dvi" to work. For instance, would http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824009062 that monitor work? Thanks!

Sure, it will work just fine. Just plug the VGA adaptor (included with your computer) into the PowerBook and then the monitor cable into the adaptor. This monitor doesn't have DVI but you don't need DVI. People feel that DVI produces a better image although, frankly, on a good quality monitor, I can't see the difference.

Not sure if you have a budget (although that's a great price for a monitor) - but there's a dell deal going on right now for their 20" Ultrasharp widescreen at just south of $400 - check out www.gotapex.com if you're interested.

I just got one last week and its pretty amazing. It has 4 inputs (DVI, VGA, Composite, S-vid) as well as a USP hub.
