Hi

I am new here and new to macs - so woudl really apprecaite any advise you can offer - since I set up my screen saver to kick in before the sleep time, it keeps going to a black screen from time to time while I am working - I am assuming that this is the balck screen either just before the screen saver or when it goes to sleep

I am also having problems, if I leave browsers, work etc open and put to sleep over night, it is often frozen when I wake it up and have to switch off at power - which I obviosuly don;t think is right for a brand new power book

Any tips? Also it drops the wireless connection when it goes to sleep whihc is a bit of a pain too!

Many thakns in advance!

I'm not quite sure that I understand that first question, but in regards to the wireless going out when the computer is put to sleep...nothing you can do about that. Sleep mode is like putting the computer into stasis. If you don't want to lose the wireless, don't put the computer into sleep mode. Simple enough.

Edit: In reference to question #2 - define 'frozen' - you mean that the computer is completely locked down - or do you mean something else? People throw around the word 'frozen' to mean half a dozen different things, so just checking.

Hi thakns for your reply

sorry that I wasn;t clear - yeah frozen as it won't repsond to any clicks or anything

the other problem is - you know before it goes to screen saver - you geta black screen then pictures? or is that just mine?

well when left it does that fine

but also while I am working on it - I get a black screen as if about to go to screen saver or sleep then becaue I am working I move cursor and comes back to normal

it never did this until I started to juse a screen saver - I removed it but still have problem
