Hi there I recently upgraded the hard drive on my ibook g4 1.2 and it is now running very slowly. I have removed it and placed my old drive back and it is still running slowly. I did notice that I have slightly dented the flex cable that connects it to board but it is not peirced. Would this be the reason? all the connections are firmly secured and i took great care whilst preforming the procedure and this seems to be the only explanation. Oh and i ran tech tool and when it does a surface scan it has a busrt of speed in reading and then stops and so on. Also my read and write scores in xbench are poor to say the least. Activity monitor is also showing that my drive read and write is up and down like a yoyo. My apologies for the mini novel and any help or advice would be gratefully appreciated.
Thank you
