What are you talking about? The event isn't scheduled to start for another 2 1/2 hours - what makes you think there's not going to be anything new?

I know the mactels aint coming today. I was just curious what this latest PB update would consist of especially when its a dying notebook. The PowerPC chip has reached its peak, no longer can it advance and thats the truth no matter how you slice it.

I suppose it is possible that not all the updates will happen at todays event. If the powerbooks are another mild speedbump (e.g. if rumors of HD displays aren't realised) they might just be 'launched' on apple.com later in the week. It's happened before ... although I hope that isn't the case this time

If it's like last week, guess we'll know around 11:30AM ET today.

The Apple store is down. We'll probably see something new at 2 pm or so I'm guessing, maybe later. But there will definitely be something new released if the Apple store is down

I hope they come up with something smaller than the 15" with a PC slot. I was in Office Depot today and held myself back from buying a Sony S series laptop until I check the Apple website.
