The specs on the new Powerbooks indicate better battery life. So I was looking to see if Apple had released a higher capacity battery. Nope. The 15 inch is still a 50-watt-hour battery. So the increased battery life on the new systems probably comes from internal components evolving to lower power usage.

Those of us with older units, keep looking at 3rd parties to possibly get a longer lasting battery.

Damn. Figures--battery savings are from more efficient displays and DDR RAM. Would have been nice for the battery to get a bump, but they were trying to change as little as possible.
