Crucial has updated their website with DDR2 RAM modules for the new PowerBooks that came out today. I have a question before I buy one of the new powerbooks: How come the Apple site lists the RAM as having a 333mhz bus speed but the Crucial RAM is 533mh? Does this matter at all and will it cause any problems if I have RAM with two different speeds? Is the Crucial memory better because of this? Thanks.

It's not a problem. The PB will run the 533 RAM at 333. If you have 2 chips with different speeds it will default to the lowest speed.

Crucial is very reputable and won't leaving you hanging if you get some problem RAM from them. They'll make good asap.

I think there was a typo on the apple site... it says both 333MHz and PC4200 (533MHz) for the RAM, and they can't both be right.

It sounds like they're running PC2-4200 (also known as DDR2-533) RAM at 333Mhz. I'd guess this is to improve performance by matching the frequency of the CPU's FSB, but I'm not really sure. It could also be to lower power requirements.
