Hey all,

Just ordered the new 15" PB with BTO options yesterday. Soo happy. Expect a ranting post once it arrives.

Anyways, I only got it with 512MB of RAM, and want to get this RAM from Crucial to stick in it to take it up to 1.5GB of RAM.

Three questions - will this RAM work with the PB? And, unlike this one (which seems to me to be two 512 sticks??), will it be only one stick?

Also, I'd want to get the RAM shipped from the US to Japan, which Crucial would be doing. Since RAM seems to be a very delicate bit of hardware, is there any danger involved in getting it shipped over?

Thanks for your help. If anyone else finds any good deals on RAM for the new PB's... please post them here!

Yes it'll work and yes it's a single stick as oposed to the 2*512 in the other package. No idea about shipping, but Crucial pack it pretty well in anti static bags then in a padded box as far as I remember.

Crucial ships their RAM inside a sealed antistatic bag insize a cardboard box that is about 10 times the volume of the RAM. Shipping overseas shouldn't be a problem, although I don't think you get free 2nd day shipping.
