i just bought a used/new battery for my 900mhz G3

the battery is from a 1.33 ghz G4 and when the power indicator button is pressed it shows full green lights. when i plug it into my ibook the battery status bar just says calculating for the time, but it says there's 75% of the battery left. i've had it plugged in for about 15 minutes now, should it still say calculating? it wont run w/just the battery so i'm kind of confused

anyone know whats up?

Have you charged it for a good time or so? That would be the first thing to analyze.
Can you return if its bad? Used batteries scare me!

The PMU is the Power Management Unit.

It controls everything that has to do with power, such as startup, sleep etc.

If the PMU gets screwed up then it can lead to some strange goings on.
