Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum. This is also my first Mac. I got my powerbook today and the screen is very beautiful and sharp. It's very bright. After I compare the Powerbook 15" screen with my Fujitsu S6231. I'm supprise that it's bright than my Fujitsu 13.3" CV screen. This powerbook is just really beautiful and I'm loving it.
However, there are two problems that I need some help from you guys.

1. My powerbook does not recognize my 2.5" extenal hard drive. I've tried different external enclosure. but none of them work.

2. When I watch DVD on Quicktime Player. It doesn't let me fast forward the movie as well as fast backward. When I click fast forward, it says "not permited" top left hand coner.
Here are some pictures from my new powerbook G4 15"

3. I couldn't find the driver for my Samsung ML-1740 Laser Print. What should I do?

Are we talking quicktime or DVD player? They're two different programs.

Search Google for "(name of printer) Mac OS X drivers" and see what comes up. Don't forget to plug iit in the PowerBook first to see if OS X already recognizes it.

Dunno about your 2.5" Drive. Sorry

Thank you for your help.

Fast forwarding and rewinding are in the menu bar and not on the controller.

As for the external hard drive... especially since its a 2.5" .. I'm pretty sure it doesn't use an external power source.

I found that as a problem on certain powerbooks.

Trying hooking it up with an external power source and it shouldn't have a problem.
