Can I buy AppleCare after I initially purchase an iBook/iMac? I ask because it makes my iBook/iMac combo solution (to hold me over to at least Intel rev B) a lot more feasable for having quicker . So can I buy them without AppleCare, then say 3 months later get it? (well within the 1 year initial limited warranty)

Any help is highly appreciated.

Yes, but keep in mind your free telephone support will end after 90 days (which I think is a scam) until you buy AppleCare.

Here is AppleCare for an iBook at the Apple Store and here it is for the iMac.

Thanks! You basically confirmed what I thought to be true.

Agreed on that telephone support thing. I consider myself a power user, so I shouldn't really have to call them unless the computer stops powering on or something as equally catastrophic happens.

So excited! First Apple Mac purchase here . I'm gonna lurve it.
