HI..I am totally new to Mac and have just bought a cheap ibook G£ from ebay. It has OS9.1 on it but not much else. Anybody got any idea whether I can put OS 10 and above on it?

Yes.

Coloured models with Firewire ports can run Tiger, the highest for the rest is Panther.

All white iBooks can run Tiger.
