my ibook is less than 2 months old and I just installed microsoft word, after i installed it my cd/dvd drive quit working, if put a cd in it makes a crunching nose and sends it back out...anyone know what the problem could be or what I should do ?

That really does just sound like a bum drive. Call Apple tech support and see if they have any tips, and if not, have them fix it.

I agree... sounds like a bum drive. It doesn't happen all that much, but it does happen.
