Hi all,

I had a few problems with my TiBook and sent it to AppleCare a few weeks ago. They replaced the lcd, the fans near the power button, the superdrive, and the airport card. It took two weeks. When I got it back and booted up, everything that was supposed to be white was bright fluorescent hot pink instead. I took it back to the store and told them I was not going to send it away to TX again b/c it took too long last time. They were very nice and ordered another new lcd and a new logic board. But that was over a week ago now and those are on backorder. I have a big deadline in early Dec and need to be able to see what I'm doing! So yesterday, I went to the Apple store and essentially demanded they at least take 10 min to check all the cables making sure that everything is connected correctly - and what d'ya know - the screen seems fine now!

The Apple store is still trying to get the logic board and lcd just in case the cable wasn't the whole issue... So the question is, do I make sure they still do the lcd and LB replacement even tho everything SEEMS ok now??? My 3 yr AppleCare warranty runs out in March...

Also, since all this stuff was fixed, the outside case of the laptop doesn't fit together well anymore... there's a tiny gap in both front corners and to make it completely closed, I have to squeeze from the top and bottom. And..... since they replaced the superdrive, the casing just above the cd-slot area is much more flexible - I'm afraid it's going to break/crack ... Should I be nitpicky about this stuff and have Apple fix the case?? I know AppleCare should take care of this, but I don't want to be neurotic either... but if the case falls apart or breaks the day after my warranty runs out....

Ho hum. Thanks for your advice!
