I just installed a new HD on my ibook g4 using pbfixit. Now i go to load the instalation software and when I am supposed to choose a destination to install it to no HD comes up for me to choose. It is just blank. Somebody please help.

In the installer, open the Disk Utility and see if it shows up there. You might need to format it first.

If that doesn't work, I would take it back apart and make sure you have the cable connected properly.

Do you have an external drive case to put the drive in to make sure it works to begin with?

Restart your computer after you have initialized the hard drive and before you attempt to Install OS X.

I found it in disk utility...reformated...restarted...and now everything works. Thanks everyone.
