Hi, I have a new 1.5 Ghz PowerBook G4, I had a Dell F707p Flat Panel, but have had some problems with it, my father purchased 2 Apple 20 inch Cinemas with his G5 last year (he put them together to use with the G5), and he didn't need the 2nd one he bought because he thought it would be for business, but he sold his busines shortly after that. He got the second one with the special power adaptor (because you cannot hook up the old cinemas because you could only power one with the G5) These cinemas wre the clear ones (I couldn't find a model number) that had one cingle cable that ran to the powerMac and were powered by it.

My question is, can you run this cinema to the PowerBook without having a display adaptor or something?

Thanks, Jess

i have the original 22-incher. it has the old ADC connector so i had to purchase DVI to ADC adaptor, which is 99 bucks. i've had it for 4 years now and it has performed flawlessly. it has been connected to tibooks in the past, my main computer now is the 12" powerbook rev c. love the set up.

Yes, you can use the older ADC Apple displays with your PowerBook with the $100 ADC/DVI adapter (which it sounds like your father already has).

Yeah, judging by the pic posted by teknopimp, it is the right adaptor to use, which is nice, because I don't need to buy anything.
