Hey.. new here, and hopefully new to Mac! My sis got a imac g4 and I have fallen in love with everything Apple as a result.

I am going to purchase a powerbook, and I was hoping to find out if anyone has any info on an impending release of the G5 in the pb?

ain't gonna happen

The G4 powerbook just got refreshed with minor updates. There probably won't be a G5 powerbook anytime soon. The next one will have an intel processor maybe eventually with a dual core.

Someday in a galaxy far far away and if IBM gets their act together, or a startup actually produces a low power PPC there might be a Power process chip in an Apple notebook again.
