I'm going to get a gaming pc soon and I was wondering (since it would be more portable than a full sized monitir) if i could hook up a gaming PC to my iB and use the iB's display for the desktop... is this even possible? And if it is then how?

Sorry, but that's not possible. Your iBook (and any Apple Macintosh computer) does not have a "video in" port to plug in your PC's video out.

You could use VNC to do such a thing for general usage (web/email/music), but the performance and lag would suck for games. Plus the iBook's screen doesn't have that many pixels.
