I just got Slackware Linux (SLAX) off http://slax.linux-live.org/ (live cd) and yes i burnt the iso on the right way using Disk Utility, and now my only problem really is that i don't know the command to get my iBook to boot from the CD/Disk... I went into open firmware mode (command-option-o-f all while the OS is booting) and then when i got to it's console I typed cd-boot (just thinking it would work) and it didn't recignize the command, so i tryed cd - boot and then it just booted the regular Mac OS X, what should i do, is this "Open Firmware" thing even close to the right way to go about it?

Put the CD in to your iBook. Then hold the "C" key and turn the power on. Continue holding the "C" key until it starts booting from the CD.

Ooops. I just visited the Slax website. Apparently, it requires a "i486 or better, Pentium or AMD".
