file vault spare image deleted - pb does not work any more

hi all!
since last night i am in troubles with my powerbook. cause i saw that the spareimage file grew more and more, i decided to delete it. then i restarted the pb and it boots up, then i have to type my password and after this there is only the nice blue screen with nothing in it. how can i fix this - any ideas? please give me your thoughts, cause i am a new appler. do i need the install discs to fix it or is there any other way, like resets, etc.
my pb is a 12" 1 ghz, 768 mb ram, 40 gb hd

You deleted your home directoy sparseimage (FileVault) file? Did you do this from another account? If so, you may have deleted your entire home directory with all your data, prefs, mails, etc.

Yeah, you are going to need to do a re-install unless you backed up your data somewhere else. You essentially deleted your home folder with all the data, including the log in data. So, you will need to re-install the system and create a new account to start over. sorry
