i no its a stupid question but ive only just got my ibook, how do you find out the current memory? cheers

in today's computers both ram and hard drive space can be measured in GB. Your free HD space is listed at the bottom of every finder window. the total space can be seen by clicking on your boot drive (Macintosh HD if you haven't changed it) and selecting get info from the File menu. You can get more info by opening either Disk Utility (found in applications/utilities) or system profiler (same place).
