I have a 17" apple studio display. I also have a ibook G4. I would like to connect the ibook to the display but the adapter for an external screen that came with the ibook is the wrong size. Does anyone know where I could get the adapter?

Thanks

Im pretty sure you will be needing this hardware:

Apple DVI to VGA Display Adapter - $19.99
Apple DVI to ADC Display Adapter - $99 (!)

I think that will work, but its rather costly, do to the DVI to ADC not being a straight cable convertor, but it having a box thing, so i guess there is more work involved in getting it to work

That DVI-VGA adapter is just a pin adapter... since your iBook only has VGA out you need a $300 converter instead of just a pin adapter.
You're better off selling the Apple 17" LCD (which, knowing Apple products, probably still fetches a decent price) and buying another brand (like the Dell 1704FP).
