Hi, I have just recently purchased a LaCie 250 GB external Hard Drive. When I plug it in, is shows my hard drive and everything works swell- I am using the Firewire 800 port. Now, when I plug in a camera to the Firewire 400 port, my external hard drive disappears- as in OS X no longer recognizes it as plugged in. Is there some rule about not using Firewire 400 and 800 at the same time? What is going on? Is my computer messed up? Hard drive messed up? Camera messed up? Alright, well thanks a bunch!

Alright, well now it works, I am not sure what happened that time. Perhaps it was the order I plugged it in? Though I doubt it. This time i plugged in the hard drvie, then the camera, things looking just fine. Last time i did it the other way, but I don't think it should make a difference. Oh well, I would just delelte this post, but I don't know how. Sorry.
