For some unaccountable reason, my G3 Mainstreet, fresh from the bowels of eBay, is unable to comprehend the internet. It works fine with my cable modem, but every few minutes IE 5.1.7 stops and freezes at the "Connecting to www.whatever.com..." or, even worse, "Looking for www.whatever.com..."

I'm using OS 9.2, IE 5.1.7 (as I said earlier) and Carbon Lib... 1.4.1 I think?

Also, I wonder if I should get OSX. It's a 233 MHz, with 160 MB ram. Also, NO L2 CACHE. I think that should impact my decision.

Any advice? Please?

Thanks in advance,
Joel

Keep OS 9.

Only use X if you do a processor upgrade.

Get a new browser.
