I was looking into upgrading to 1.5gigs for my new power book and I found this on newegg:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820208312
I was wondering if it works with no problems. Theres one review on there that says it works. Anyone have experience with this ram. If so and it runs well... I'm buying 2! Thanks.

It should work, but there are no guarantees. I've seen plenty of RAM with the right specs and numbers not work, or work poorly, in Macs.

Eh, Newegg has a pretty easy return policy.

Try Crucial. I bought 2 1GB sticks earlier in the Fall and they were very well-priced and work great. Guaranteed by Crucial to work.

BTW, this is a topic that has been covered pretty heavily (like once a month or more) in the forums, so you will get a lot of info if you use the search funtion.

TS1GAP220 is the transcend part number for their Mac compatible 1 Gb DDR-2 module - which is a different part number from the NewEgg module, so it's a cr@pshoot whether it will work or not. NewEgg certainly doesn't guarantee compatibility, and they are able to charge shipping plus a 15% restocking fee if you want your money back should it not work.

I generally recommend that you order from a reputable dealer who tests and guarantees compatibility with your model Macintosh, offers a lifetime warranty, and a no-cost return if it doesn't work.

In the USA my favorite is Data Memory Systems they are $89 each free shipping for guaranteed compatible RAM. Other forum posters like Crucial , OWC (MacSales) or 18004Memory (Coast to Coast)

Thanks

I just installed the ram and tested them with techtool and ran a photoshop, illustrator and InDesign with massive files. No problems at all. I do notice how smooth everything is now.
