My iBook accidently fell on the carpet floor from a height of a foot with the screen open and the back of the screen hit the floor. It didn't break so I was happy about that. Still, I was worried that the screen could be damaged so I downloaded Pixel check. I found out that I have 2 dead pixels together on the mid-right side of my screen and when I tested the different colors (green, red, blue and white) everything was okay. However, when I went to black, I saw pixels that were still green, blue, and red; I have around 15-20 of them.

I really don't know what to do. Can anyone help me please?

Will AppleCare cover this? And do I have to tell them that I dropped my iBook?

Thanks.

Call Apple and tell them you just noticed the dead/stuck pixels. Don't mention the fall and I think Apple will cover it.

Should I call Apple or should I go to the Apple Store and have them take a look.

Do you know if I would get charged for the examination or anything?

You won't be charged but you may have to wait at an Apple Store.

Hey Mark, do you think I can get my iBook replaced or fixed? And if they do fix/replace it, do you know how long will it take them to do so?

Also, are they going to do a close examination to see if my iBook was dropped? But since my iBook fell on the carpet, it isn't scratched and nothign broke off.

From my first reply: I think Apple will cover it.
No idea how long it will take... a week wouldn't surprise me.
No idea.

If you never noticed these stuck pixels before and they didnt bother you. Why the repair. They cant die or stick from you dropping it a foot onto carpet. lol

Or am I misunderstanding?

Is it possible that thos epixels were like that to begin with? I would probably just let it be if it were mine.
