They look so impressive indeed. I'd love my etched. I quite like the minimal one with the branches in it.

Those look amazing! Maybe one day, when i've done my grapic design diploma, i will be able to open up a studio, and have my logo, or something to do with the business etched into the powerbooks. I think it would look real good in a business environment, especially in a grapic design studio, where image is everything

Wow... just wow... that wave etching looks amazing. I like how the etching blends with the style of the powerbook. It still looks sleek and stylish.

That seems reasonable, yes.

Still worthwhile voiding after the warranty runs out.

why should this void the warranty?

it's the casing, should not have anything to do with the functioning of the powerbook...

(but would be worth finding out before voiding applecare...)

umm I was told if one engraved their iPod mini then it would void the warranty so I thought this would be something similar

Other than it being considered "exterior abuse", I don't see how Apple could void the warranty legally. Does the warranty agreement say "Thou shalt not laser etch thine powerbook lest ye warranty be made void"?

Very nice ... I like the Tarsier. Always good to personalise your laptop ... beats writing your postcode in UV pen on the bottom. I could never bring myself to add stickers or transfers (though I know some do). Laser etching would stay neat, though.
