Hi all,

I have an iBook G4 14" with 384 MB RAM (128+256). I want to add as much memory as possible. Can anyone tell me if there is any limit to how much RAM can be added? Can I add two 512 MB modules or more? (I'm assuming there are only two slots available).

Thanks in advance.

There is only one slot, and it can accept a 1GB SODIMM.

Thanks for the reply. Do I need to get PC2100 DDR SDRAM or PC2700 will also do? What are pros and cons? The reason is that I'm finding more deals for PC2700 than for PC2100.

PC2700 will work fine. The speed rating is the maximum that the device is guaranteed to work at; it will work at that speed and anything lower.

PC2700 or even PC3200 (which is sometimes even cheaper) should work fine; just make sure its guaranteed to be iBook compatible.
