On my old G3 I remember I could change themes and it changed the way all the windows looked. I can't find the option, looked in the help and searched online. I am guessing themes is the wrong word...

System Preferences-->Appearance. In the "appearance" drop-down menu, you can switch between Blue and Graphite. I don't know if this is what you are talking about, but it's the only thing I could think of.

i just started using shapeshifter about a week ago....download it and have a blast. heres a screen shot i just took, enjoy.
