Hi there,
I recently bought my first mac - an ibook - 12-inch g4 1.33 and i must say, the more i use it, the more i fall in love with it. I am also so glad of becoming a part of the mac community. Some of my friends suggested that i should upgrade the RAM (it has 512 MB). So, i am searching for some good RAM and i need your help. Please tell me how much should i get (512 or 1GB)? and from where (i am in canada). I am ready to pay a little more amount for a good quality memory rather than a low quality one if i have to.
Please help.
Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the MacNN Forums!
First bit of advice: use the Search! It is your friend. You'll find that this question comes up about every three to four weeks.
In general I recommend buying RAM from Crucial, Kingston, and Corsair. They guarantee that the RAM they spec for your computer WILL work in it, which is something you don't get if you buy from a lot of other places. Guarantees are a Good ThingĀ®, particularly if you're not Mr. Computer Tinkerer. The fact that these companies stand behind what they sell means that they take the burden of figuring out exactly what part is right for you.
All three of these companies sell to Canadian customers; you do have to go through a bit of manipulation to get the "Canadian page" for Crucial and Kingston, but Corsair will show you a list of resellers in Canada for you to choose from.
Again, welcome!

Another vote for Newegg. I purchased a 1GB stick a year ago for my 1.2Ghz iBook and it works just fine. Excellent price too. When I checked out Newegg reviews online they were all positive.
I previously purchased RAM for my G3 iBook from 1-800-4-MEMORY. Cheap prices but it took three tries to get a decent stick of RAM...
