My 15inch pb has a light bump the other night and after that the airport stopped working. When i check in the system preferences, it says airport hardware not found. Does this mean that i need to replace it?? or is it some other hardware failure? or software? thanks

Try re-seating the airport card. You don't say what version PB you have, but perhaps the connection is loose.

Inside the battery compartment is a little hinge/door. Behind this door is your Airport card. There should be a little plastic flap behind the door. The card is directly attached to the flap. Carefully pull it out, and replace it.
