Hi, first post here, but believe me I did search a bit and found nothing to answer my questions.
I bought an iBook G4 about a year and a half ago, and up until yesterday I've had almost no problems. However, lately I've been having intermittent trouble with the OS freezing up, and I've been forced to use the power switch to restart the computer when this happens.
However, when I did this yesterday, I had some bizarre problems getting the computer to start up again. When the computer is booting up, nine out of ten times the computer freezes up while the apple logo is visible, and often the screen starts blinking or displaying weird lines and patterns. I've been able to actually get OSX to start twice, but both times the computer froze up again after a couple of minutes.
Anyone have any idea what could be wrong, or what I should try next? Any input would be greatly appreciated.
