I have a 15inch TiBook, and the LCD display has died. So I have tried to plug in a new Samsung LCD display using the clamshell mode. The display works fine for a few seconds and then the whole screen starts to shake, and when I use the mouse or keyboard, the screen will turn black for a second. What is wrong here? I can use this Samsung monitor just fine with my other windows laptop.

well... how exactly did the lcd 'die?' was it smashed and thus cracked and unusable, or did it just stop coming on? like was the damage internal or external? If the monitor just stopped working, its sounding like your video card died. and that would explain why the external display doesnt work.

The PB was dropped and the screen cracked.

I can use the S-Video out port just fine to connect it to a TV.

Also here is another strange thing: I can use the VGA plug to connect it to my HDTV, and the screen is fine (though stretched a little due to 16:9). There is no flickering, shaking, or blacking out.

But when I try to plug in my Samsung LCD display, it works fine for like 20 seconds and then it starts to foul up.
