hi. i just bought a pb. i got the floor model cuz it was the last one left. i'm wondering if i am missing any cds. i checked the box and i only have two(OS 9 install and OS 10.3.7 install). am i missing the iLife or system restore cds? any info would be great.

my info: Powerbook 15in/1.67ghz/March2005production(not hi-res)/1280x854res/superdrive

2 more questions...
is $1650 a good price for that?
and should i do a system restore back to factory settings or just leave it as is?
thanks!!!

The OS 10.3.7 *should* be a DVD will all the applicatios (iLife, etc). Pop it in, and see if you get a choice like "Reinstall bundled applications" or something similar.
Too many Apple/Mac products to even bother listing!

thanks guys for the info. the cd is the normal grey color, 10.3.7 OS and reads(this software is part of a hardware bundle purchase). i'm just worried that if i restore to factory settings, i might lose Tiger, it's on there now, as well as iLife. i guess i could just clean it up a bit, applejack or something?
also, i have the option of upgrading from this pb to a hi-res pb. i bought this one for $1650, so i would fork out $350 more for the latest pb. but, i've read about the issues with the new pbs, scanlines, grinding noises...etc...do you think it's worth it or should i just stick with this one?

I don't know about upgrading, but you can still insert the DVD and verify it has the extra software. Since it states its part of a "hardware bundle" it should. It won't do anything without you allowing it to, so no worries there. :-)

You might qualify for the "Up To Date" program to get Tiger for $9.95, but from what I'm seeing, that ended. :-( Maybe a call to Apple could tell you more. Where did you buy it? Have you asked them?

basically, if i return this pbook within the next 3 weeks, give them $350, i can walk out with a new hi-res pbook. i guess it's just a decision i'll have to make. this one is nice for $1650 but it doesn't have the 128 graphics card or the dual-link DVI or the hi-res display...man, for $350 more, i prob. should just get a brand new pb......i'm so indecisive....
