I've searched the forums, but can't find the answer to my question, so I'm starting a new thread...

I just installed an additional 1 GB of RAM in my Powerbook. When I tried to turn the PBook back on, there was a loud steady beep, and my sleep light began flashing. Then the familiar startup chime sounded, but the Powerbook won't start up.

HELP???

Okay, update.

I uninstalled the new 1 GB of RAM and tried...and everything worked perfectly. Then I turned the computer back off, took out the battery again, reinstalled the new RAM, and...nothing. The notebook startup chime...the sleep light comes on...and...nothing. I've pressed buttons to try to bring it out of sleep. Nothing doing.

I'm about to call Crucial and see if they can help me out. Has anyone else had this sort of problem?

It's almost certainly bad memory—call the manufacturer/vendor and return/replace it.
"You rise," he said, "like Aurora."

Thanks for the input. I'll have to wait until Monday at least until 7:00 AM. Crucial's support number closes at 2:00 PM on Saturdays.

What great luck.
