In a moment of maddness and being a Mac newbie i deleted Appleworks, on my G4 Ibook how do i reinstall it. Is it preinstalled on the Hard Drive or on the Discs which come with the Ibook.

Cheers

It's on the CD-ROMS supplied with your iBook.

Craig,

I had a similar problem.

Thanks to CharlesS I was able to re-install AppleWorks. Do this:
Find your Software restore disc(s) and pop it in your Mac. Then open up the volume and type Command-Shift-G, or select the "Go to Folder..." option in the Go menu and then enter ".images" into the field. You will find all the software images stores on the disc. Just select the AppleWorks one, install it and you're done.

By the way, I suggest you move away from AppleWorks and choose another word processor, because Apple is just itching to drop AppleWorks support. It's been virtually abandoned for years already and with Pages, it's only a short matter of time until AppleWorks is unsupported. That's my take on it, anyway.

Exactly - Has anyone else noticed that AppleWorks does not ship with the new intel iMac?

David.
