Oh man, here we go!

I just made my first ever purchase from the Apple Store of a MacBook Pro. I'm pretty excited, and I hope they start shipping it before February, I can't wait to test this puppy out. I just sold my imac G5 2nd gen on eBay and am goign to replace it with this. Get ready for a ton of box-opening pics when I get it, I'll be sure to post up here. I bought the base model on education pricing in Canada, which is way more than enough for my needs, especially if the apparent speed boost is as dramatic as its supposed to be. The only slight dissapointment with it is the downgrade to 4x DVD buring, but I can live with that since I don' burn DVDs that often really anyways. Other than that (and perhaps the name, I think Powerbook should have stayed) I am going to be sleepless until this arrives at my doorstep.

Now the only bad part is that since I sold my iMac I'll have to work on a crappy celeron 533 eMachine (at least its running Ubuntu) until my MacBook arrives. Hurry!!!!!!!
