I have the newest available 12" powerbook, and am having an odd problem where the left lower corner of the screen isn't lit equally as the right. It's not all the time, and comes and goes while using it throughout the day. Unfortunately, I am having a superdrive issue as well, and my repair facility just ordered the part. The technician thinks that it will be a loose connection that he will be able to correct when he replaces the superdrive. Does anyone know the internals of the 12" good enough to know if this is even a possibility? If not I want him to order the replacement parts for the lcd as well, so I dont have to make another trip, and waste more of my time. I tried to take pics however they don't illustrate the problem well.

Any input is appreciated.

Sorry I messed up that post.

So, anyways, I would replace the screen. Small, circular areas that are lighter in the corner are normal. Larger bloches that reach farther into the screen are not. Apple replaced my screen on a 1.33 Ghz 12" a few days ago for having blotches of light and dark areas. If you want to compare your screen to mine you can PM me and I will E-mail you photos of my screen.
