Well I've been battling with Apple for a few months trying to get a working refurb iBook G4 (this is the 3rd one they sent me, finally works!)

Anyway, I bought it stock with 256 and I want to throw another 512 in here.

What does everyone think is the best online store with the best prices? I might swing by Best Buy later and if I see a reasonable price I might just take the dive because I really want the performance ASAP.

I've seen prices around $60 online, what do you think?

There is no 1.25Ghz G4 iBook.

Crucial loves you. They usually have free 2-day shipping for US customers.

My bad. 1.2ghz...

Anyway, I just went to Best Buy and they had a stick of 512 (PC2700) for $49.99 so I picked that up. Backwards compatible with PC2100 so I'm all set. It's installed and working wonderfully with 768M.

Like mduell said, Crucial is great. You can also check New Egg or Tiger Direct. I've gotten memory from both places and have been pleased.

If you go with New Egg or Tiger Direct, make sure you know which brand of RAM you're selecting. You don't want "no name" RAM; it's often overspec'd and won't run at the specifications on the label.

I like Crucial, Kingston and Corsair. You'll notice that these brands tend to be a bit pricier than "cheap" RAM, but it's worth it.

I bought RAM and a hard drive from 4allmemory.com. It's been a while, but I use them again.

Compare current RAM prices from most major vendors at ramseeker.com before you buy.
