I own a 1.5GHz 17-inch Powerbook that I killed when trying to put a new hard drive in it. The battery will charge when plugged in, it just won't turn on. I am assuming that this is because the logic board is fried? I tried everything to get it to work...how much do you think it will cost to fix?

I did exactly this. It probably means the keyboard/on switch wasn't properly reconnected when you put it back together. Make sure the little white clip that holds the keyboard wire in place is the right way up! If not, it will cover the connects and the on-button will do nothing!

Holy cow, you were right! Thanks a lot. That was what it was. I would have never thought that little piece of plastic would make that much difference. Thanks again.

No problem. I was about to take mine to the Apple Store when it happened to me!
