Normally, I don't deal with registering software. When I got my iBook and set it up, there's a point where it asks me to do just that. This being my first iBook, I go ahead and register figuring Apple already has my info since I bought this with a credit card at one of thier retail outlets.

I'm thinking about selling this and I want to erase that information, including my name, mailing address, phone number, etc. I notice I can change my name in account setup, but I can't find where eveything else is. Is there a way to go in and edit that out instead of re-installing and patching OS? If I do have to re-install, will it let me leave that stuff blank?

Thanks for anything usefull.
Someday, I'll know what I'm doing. By then, I will have lost intrest.

If your considering selling it, I would suggest a clean install. Once OS X installs it begins to walk you through the welcome screens at which point you can just shut the computer down. Upon boot-up the buyer will be presented exactly where you left off.

Damn, that was quick. '_' Thanks. That leads me to another question. If I buy a more powerfull iBook/Powerbook/etc. and someone does that to the one I'm buying (or if I do a reinstall myself) would I be allowed to skip that part or is the setup dead set on getting that info.
