I've installed OS X and now the battery has gone hinky.

It doesn't charge. The only way I get an amber plug and a charge is to pull the battery and pop it back in, which then goes to amber and charges - for about 15 minutes or so, then back to green .

It sounds rediculous, but I've gone fron 0% to over 85% by doing this - at about 2-3% each time!

Coconut Battery tells me I have 81% capacity of a 4mah unit. This, plus the gimp-charge achievement leads me to believe it is the machine, or systems, and not an old un-rechargeable cell.

I have also reset the power manager, with no change.

Does anybody have a bright idea? (besides buying a new battery, or machine... )
