on my ibook G4 the track pad freazes every couple of days and i have to turn it on and off to get it to work again, is there any ways to fix it yourself or will apple sort it out?, also if apple where to sort it out, would they only need to change the trackpad (like all my stuff still be on the ibook) or will they replace it completly? thanks

sounds like something wrong with the driver, though I don't know how you would go about fixing that.

My trackpad wore out and was no longer usable. Apple replaced it under AppleCare. They replaced the trackpad and the entire surrounding surface, which meant new palmrests, too. I guess it comes as one unit now.
