Like my title says, I just received a 12" Powerbook I bought of eBay and although it works fine and looks perfect, it seems to have some issues with the keyboard.

I noticed that sometimes I press the down & up arrows, there seems to be a lag or it would just not scroll up or down at all, I have to press multiple times for it to work. I also noticed the same when typing regular letters where it does the same.

Lucky me, the laptop has applecare until July 2007, so my question is... should I take it to the Apple store? would they fix it for me? or is there anything I can do myself to fix this?

Thanks in advance.

They should fix it no problem. Good on you to get the extended AppleCare.

Cool, yes that's the reason why I got it off eBay (it came with the extended warranty)

Do I have to make an appointment or can I just walk in?

Thanks for responding.

Just to make sure that what you're describing is a hardware issue, have you observed this problem in more than one program? In particular, I'm thinking of Microsoft Word, which seems to have some serious lag issues (you might press a key and it won't appear for a couple of seconds or until you press another key).

the only reason why they wouldn't fix it would be because of evidence of physical damage (ie - dent)

i haven't read that scratches have prevented repairs, but definitely dents.
