Maybe Apple has the same issue with MacBook Pro which is why they don't provide battery life...

i only read the first 2 pages, but it seems like if it is a problem with a microsft driver in WinXP, then that should not even be a factor with Mac OS

It's silly to infer that a problem with a low-level Microsoft program (USB driver) would somehow affect a Mac. Now if Apple's programmers have made the same mistake (not likely), that's a different story.

This will only affect Windows PCs. Of course.
