hey guys. I just bought my 17" powerbook, and i bought an icurve for it. many thanks to this forum for suggesting it. i don't know why windows laptop users don't use it, too.
as a way of saying thanks, i just wanted to share a pretty good price that i got.
from amazon.com, $29 shipped! brand new with UPS ground shipping (where i got mine)
from buy.com $28 shipped!
these are real nice prices compared to $40 plus $10 shipping at Griffin's website.

I like mine, but since I bought it two years ago, a whole lot of alternatives have come out that are more versatile; do a search for reviews of laptop stands. It's still an excellent and handsome (and very helpful ergonomically) accessory if you only want to use it on your desk and not travel with it or use it in a recliner, couch, or bed.

i don't know the canadian exchange rate, but actually, the purpose of this post was actually to let people know how much the iCurves were going for. Someone was trying to sell their used one for $35 shipped, and I didn't want to thread crap, so posting an informational thread was the next best thing i could think of to do.
i never realized it, but the laptop ergonomics are so incredibly bad for you. The natural position is to look straight forward, not up or down. Just by using the laptop on a desk, or even worse, in your lap, you're craning your neck about 20 degrees or more. Now I always use the iCurve, and consequently questioning my laptop purchase (as opposed to a more ergonomical iMac)

Some do.
I ordered an icurve for my office thinkpad (linux) and advertised it a little in my research group. In the meantime we have something around 20 iCurves in the offices, most of them carrying heavy dell boxes .
But of course my attention was initially drawn to the iCurve because I use powerbooks most of the time.
