Apologies if this has been answered ... ever since downloading 10.4.4, my iBook G4 experiences kernel panic approx once a day (usually from a cold startup in morning, though occasionally for no good reason anytime during day)

I brought to friendly Apple Store Genius, he checked boards, found nothing loose, then installed archive of 10.3.3, which ran well, we then upgraded to 10.4.4, which also ran well in store. Once I got home and fired up machine, kernel panic once again. I've run disk utility internally and off startup disk, finding nothing major wrong

It's about 6 mos old; 1.33 ghz model w/512 of RAM, none of which I've touched. Laptop is always wireless; kernel panic happens both on power and on battery

Any ideas out there??

Thanks in advance

What kind of router do you have? Try turning off the airport on the iBook and going cat5 for a while to see that's the problem. I had a router that would kill the wifi card that was in my friend's laptop. It's worth a check. Also, you may want to do a Software Update...I think I saw an Airport update... *shrug*
