iBook CD drive wont close!

My little brother is walking around ith my ibook and he drops it! so the lock in order to close the cd drive is broken... i am wondering if buying a new cd drive and getting it installed will fix the problrm of it closing or is it someting with the computer and not the cd drive that needs to be fixed
