I've noticed over the past few nights that my iBook has been running a little hot. Mostly when it is on my lap. Thanks to the SysStat Nano widget I can see it runs around 120-140 which seems pretty hot.

It's currently charging and is at 141 degrees.

I just got the notification in the mail saying I have a few more days to get AppleCare, should I go for it?

On another note, this is a refurb 1.2ghz iBook G4 and is the THIRD one they sent me, the first two were duds....

Any tips?

140 degrees... Fahrenheit? or Centigrade? If it's Fahrenheit, that sounds fine...if it's Centrigrade...lol.

140 doesn't sound too hot, but as it's now running hotter than it used to, maybe you should clean it out really well. Use a good vacuum and suck out all the dust and stuff from the vent holes, then see if the temp goes down. You should also try placing it on something that gives you a little ventilation room below the case, which can help keep it cooler.
