I just updated to 10.4.4 and now whenever i first boot up.. there is quite a long lag. The best way I can describe the lag is the Windows kind of lag where everything is there but apps/start menu take a while to to appear after the first click. I didn't have this w/ 10.4.3. Please let me know any suggestions so my pbook can be instantly snappy again.

Try repairing permissions (Applications -> Utilities -> Disk Utility), then run a prebinding update (you'll have to search on how to prebind, I don't have the directions handy).
