I've recently been playing with the idea of buying a powerbook, so I put my iBook on craigslist for $800. I got some pretty quick responses, so I'm worried that I'm not asking for enough.

Here are the specs so you have an idea of what I have:
12" 1.2 GHz G4
768 MB RAM
60 GB TOSHIBA MK6025GAS HD INSTALLED WITH THE MACHINE BUILT TO ORDER!
BT/AP/Combo
2 Years left on applecare
Tiger loaded, and a zeroshock case.

Very good near mint condition.

Should I be asking for more? Would it be rude to tell someone that already made an offer that I want more?

Thanks!

That sounds like a good price to me. I wouldn't ask more, because otherwise you'll start getting the "OMG! You can totally buy a BRAND-NEW iBook with a faster processor for $999 or as a refurbished product for $899!..." responses. Yes, you have 256MB more RAM installed and a larger hard-drive than the current model: but I think it's a good price. Don't e-mail the people that offered you X amount of dollars and say you want more - if you posted an asking price, that's how much you want - point blank. If you want top dollar, sell it on eBay. This is Craigslist we're talking about here, which is known for its localized bargains.

If you have a 60 GB 5400 rpm HDD, isn't your applecare void???

In which case you dont have a 5400 rpm HDD, as it is not a build to order option on the iBook.

Maybe you're right, but I did order from Apple, and I thought it was a 5400 RPM drive. The model is TOSHIBA MK6025GAS. I can't remember since it was a year ago.

Okay I looked it up, and it is a 4200 RPM drive. Sorry for the mix-up. I'll edit my post accordingly.
